About Postcardalia
When walking through the nighttime streets in Coimbra, home to one of the oldest universities in the world, my husband simply said, “Look up!”
Perhaps I was so immersed in the graffiti on the surrounding walls that I simply didn’t notice the glowing display of books suspended above the street. But once I did, it was, to me, a “postcard moment.”
It wasn’t the first time I needed encouragement to look up. After all, I am an academic - an educational psychologist and community college professor. Which is to say, I spend a lot of time in my head. Perhaps that is why I am so drawn to travel.
Postcardalia is about stories of wonder and beauty and culture and learning. The scenes are from travels from around the world and experiences closer to home. Together they form my ongoing love letter to our world.
